Meet the Lovebirds

  • Kim Nguyen

    BRIDE

    ______________________________

Kim Thien Nguyen unexpectedly came into my life at a point where I thought to myself that I was done with dating and meeting the one for a while. Lo and behold, she had already inserted herself before when she was tabling for David and Julie's wedding and I stood out to her. When we did officially meet, some things clicked but things really stuck together when we had our first date, after which I thought in the Staples parking lot, "This might really be my last first date ever," which ended up being the truth.

Kim is the most incredible woman I know - she's passionate about crafts and arts, caring and kind to her friends and family, and she finds ways to support me when I'm at my darkest and lowest. She's my rock, my biggest fan, my greatest adventure, my muse, my home, and the love of my life.

I can't wait to start the next chapter of our lives together and continue to love you for the rest of my days.

Fun Fact about me: I have solo backpacked through Europe and Asia.

    ________________________

Love at first sight is such a cliche, but it remains true in this case. I always prayed to God and asked him to send me a man at church. I guess that it kinda happened. I never had hit it off so well with someone. We are aligned on so many things, like our values, the importance of family, and just being silly with one another.

With every passing day, that connection grows even deeper. I appreciate how he is always ready to listen to me yapping, comfort me when I’m feeling low, shares my pain, and always supports me in everything I do. I love how deeply focused he gets with his Gundam kits, how he’ll serve me food first (I really feel seen bc eldest daughter syndrome), entertain my reality shows because he knows I love them, and how he makes time for his interests. I also love how he treats our disagreements with gentle care, his love and kindness to our loved ones and myself included, how compatible travel partners we are (and his access to The Centurion Lounge lol), how he tends to my salty craving after dessert (fries or tots every time), and how we share a commitment to one another.

I’ll always be forever grateful that I am lucky enough to have found my person in this life. Thank you for accepting me as I am and never wanting to change any part of me. I can’t wait to start our marriage together, find new ways to love you, and stay at home with Gigi.

    Forever yours, Peanut 💖

Fun Fact about me: I used to compete in Tae Kwon Do

  • Diana Nguyen

    MAID OF HONOR

    __________________________

Diana (aka PY) and I have been thick as thieves since the very beginning. I was waiting at home, ready to welcome her into the world. I was her Day 1 (literally lol). We've been inseparable ever since, navigating life's milestones together: graduation, backpacking the globe (sharing a single hostel bed..by choice lol), adopting our beloved cat Gigi, and even surviving a lifelong long-distance relationship. If that’s not love, I don’t know what is.

Through thick and thin, Diana has been my rock, offering unwavering support and comfort. She's witnessed my darkest moments, yet remains a constant source of love and encouragement. Her influence has empowered me to take monumental steps like relocating to OC, pivoting to my dream job, and finding confidence in my own skin. I owe it all to her. Though we're cousins by blood, Diana has been more like a sister and best friend. I'm forever grateful for our sisterly bond and honored to have her by my side on my special day.

Diana enjoys her Youtube shorts, devouring fantasy novels especially with dragons (Tairn fans unite!), savoring perfectly al dente noodles, and exploring the wonders of New York City.

Fun fact about me: I was named after Princess Diana.

  • Martin Nguyen

    BEST MAN

    __________________________

Martin has been one of my best friends since the day he was born. With Peter, the three of us formed the family triumvirate: the Three Musketeers, the Three Stooges, Aragorn/ Gimli/ Legolas...you get the idea. Even though we live 6 hours apart, we'd always hang out whether that be through video games or whenever we visit each other at home. Nothing's like having one of your boys be one of your family members whose always got your back when it comes to life and love and I couldn't be happier also celebrating his wedding to the love of his life in February.

In his spare time, Martin is a semi pro on the pickleball court, an avid trader in the stock market, and a proud father of one black Labrador, Truffle. He also rides the rails at edm shows too.

Fun fact about me: I can recite lines from Toy Story.

  • Earle Arbas

    GROOMSMAN

    __________________________

Nothing breeds friendships and bringing people together like working a really crappy job, especially when the job involves food service. Working at 85 was a pain in the ahh, but really the people I worked with made the pain a little more bearable. Earle was one of those dudes that made work semi fun, but it was really outside of work where our friendship grew (particularly at Banana Bay, Stoplight shots still haunt my dreams). Earle was like a big bro to me and things were always a blast when we hang out, but when things got real I knew I could count on him to give me sagely advice over a smoke break (he has since switched to vaping).

Earle is known to dabble in mobile games (10 minute breaks are for quick games), play with his and his wife's (Shannin) dog, Mochi, and is an avid fan of LA sports (particularly the Lakers, thanks Nico for being an LA legend by trading Luka).

Fun fact about me: I won a pub trivia regional championship (with a team of course)

  • Dina Bach

    BRIDESMAID

    __________________________

Dina (aka Dinasaur) is my mini me. If I had a dollar for every time someone thought we were sisters, it probably would’ve paid off this wedding. I was always sad I didn’t have a little sister growing up but I’m glad I found one in Dina. She’s always ready to be my little helper and has become my protege in a way, whether it be party planning, putting together my Save the Dates (ty I was stressing), or trying out a new recipe together. I see so much of myself in her, which has been a sweet full-circle experience. I feel honored to be able to support her through life’s challenges because I longed for that growing up. I’m thrilled to have her be a part of my big day.

What’s special about us is that we share a lot of interests that I don’t have with anyone else like making handmade crafts, saving random items just because and for sentimental reasons, scrapbooking obviously, and a healthy obsession with organization content. I can’t say anyone else would get excited about stationery paper or pens like we do. We enjoy nerding out on these things.

Fun fact about me: I have traveled to 5 countries within 7 days.

  • Miguel Garcia

    GROOMSMAN

    __________________________

Nothing breeds friendships and bringing people together like working a really crappy job, especially when the job involves food service (deja vu). Coincidentally, Miguel and I were often scheduled for closing shifts at 85 (deja vu), but closing was always efficient when we were on the clock (clocking out by 10:30 was always a flex) and it was more importantly fun because we were all able to shoot the breeze. The instance I knew Miguel and I were going to be homies for life was when my car and phone batteries died in the parking garage above work so I was going to be stuck there for the night...until Miguel and Ari coincidentally pulled up and charged my car battery for me 🙏 (still owe you for that one).

Miguel is a nurse, so if you're in the deep end at the reception, he might just have an IV bag for you (came in clutch for me this past Christmas lol). Miguel enjoys concerts, a nice bottle of wine after getting off work, and enjoying the days he has off with his friends and cat, Buddy.

Fun fact about me: I am ambidextrous

  • Michael Lam

    GROOMSMAN

    __________________________

Here we have an East Coast boy from Virginia who has been corrupted by the West Coast ABB lifestyle (playin). I first met Michael through our group of alcoholic beverage enjoyers, where I thought this guy looked like a Chinese pop star with his perm. Since then, we've (mostly) moved past drinking too much but now our friendship has more wholesome activities. We even drove to San Francisco for a week to see what it was like (we got the full SF experience when my car got broken into and they stole some of our stuff lol). Aside from that, Michael is genuinely easy to talk to and hang with. He's an absolute sweetheart soft boi (ladies, he's single).

When he's got the time, Michael travels a bunch (peep his IG page for his adventures), surfs (ask him about the jellyfish), and has gotten into pickleball.

Fun fact about me: Kevin and I have the same zodiac even though born in different years. I was also born on Lunar New Year’s Eve.

  • Peter Lam

    GROOMSMAN

    __________________________

If you've ever partied in Orange County, you might have come across the name Peter Lam. Before he become known as everyone's favorite party animal, he also made up one third of the triumvirate. Peter was always known for his selfless attitude, especially when we got in trouble and he'd shoulder the blame for everyone even when it was obvious me or another one of us did something we weren't supposed to (like scaling the wall on the side of grandma's house). Hanging out with Peter is like hanging with an old friend you haven't seen in a while. Even though you might not talk often, it'll always feel just like old times.

Peter loves shows and festivals, so there's a fat chance you'll see him raging away, but in his spare time he loves catching up on One Piece and hitting the weights.

Fun fact about me: I cut hair! Hit me up for your barber needs

  • Jen Lee

    BRIDESMAID

    __________________________

My friendship with Jen (aka Jennie) is a beautiful example of serendipity. On the day I was ready to quit our job, fate intervened – I received a promotion and was paired with Jen on a campaign. We had the best time selling pierogies at Costco. Full on lunch lady vibes haha Little did I know, that twist of fate would lead me to a lifelong friendship. Despite our shared loathing of the job, I now realize that I was meant to stay – to meet Jen. Our friendship has been a treasure trove of adventures, discoveries, and deep connections. We've explored the world together, uncovered new passions, and found solace in our shared perspectives on life.

What I cherish most about our friendship is the unconditional support and acceptance Jen offers. I can be my authentic self around her, without fear of judgment. She's always in my corner, cheering me on and hyping me up. Every time we hang out, my cup fills up twice as full as when I came. I found a lifelong best friend in Jen and I’m grateful to have such a special friendship with her. Home girl helped me hobble around Paris with a strained ankle and picked up McDonalds for our Thanksgiving dinner. You know she is a real one for that. You don’t meet a girl like that every dynasty!

Jen is a free spirit, who thrives in the outdoors. She enjoys a good yoga session (join her yoga session during welcome week!), backpacking through the world, sushi all day, any day, a fun kpop jam session, and spending time out in nature.

Fun fact about me: I have scuba dived with manta rays in Nusa Penida

  • Tiffany Luu

    BRIDESMAID

    __________________________

Tiffany (aka TLuu) is truly unique. She was always like an older sister to us (young cousin girlys). We would be so excited to get some of her clothes and makeup passed down to us. She was the cool older cousin. As time passed, we’ve become more like good friends. There is never a dull moment with her and her family. Every meetup feels like an episode of Keeping up with the Luus hahaha Her individuality sets her apart from everyone else. With a personality that's as bold as it is loving, she’s never afraid to speak her mind. I’m glad I have her to constantly challenge me to push outside my comfort zone. I know I can rely on her to give me a good laugh on my wedding day because I will need it. No tears, only laughs please!!

She is our resident fashionista and knows how to make you look chic. We enjoy gossiping about the latest episode of The Bachelor and Love is Blind together (what’s the deal with both casts this year??). She enjoys her hot girl walks in Santa Monica, frequenting nice trendy lounges in LA for the vibe, getting fit through Pilates and lifting, a good vampire flick (shoutout to Elijah Mikaelson!), and advocating the well-being and mental health of her loved ones and students.

Fun fact about me: My first online username was JiffyLuu358.

  • Andrew Nguyen

    GROOMSMAN

    __________________________

I’ve known Andrew since the day he was born—literally. Even though we’re eight years apart, I remember how happy I was to finally have a brother I could grow up with around Mom and Dad.

With our age gap, there were challenges and times when we butted heads or got upset with each other—but that’s to be expected between siblings, especially brothers. Even so, I couldn’t imagine growing up with anyone else besides Andrew. Watching him become the person he is today—especially when he’s better than me at some things (like pickleball)—has been amazing.

Andrew has a small pottery studio set up in our garage where he throws clay and creates beautiful pieces, is a proud father of two fish, and holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Here’s to more adventures together!

Fun fact about me: My favorite animal is the hippo

  • Karen Nguyen

    BRIDESMAID

    __________________________

Karen (aka Sgt Karebear) and I are distant relatives but were introduced by our mutual cousin (thanks Anna lol). She thought I needed more friends in my life. We ended up babysitting her kids annually and eventually started to hang out. Another happy occurrence! Karen doesn’t take herself too seriously and is truly easygoing. I aspire to have those traits and be more like her. She is not only a good listener but also thoughtful and attentive. During the clubbing days, she always left water next to me and charged my phone for me. I truly felt seen by her and never forgot those acts of service. I feel blessed that life has brought us closer and that we get to share a community, experiences, and huge milestones like our weddings.

She is our social justice warrior fighting for sustainability, equal rights, and the end of single-use plastic. Save the turtles y’all! She is passionate about animals, specifically cats, and even more specifically her 3 fur babies Stella, Sunny, and Luna. Ask her about it! She enjoys and appreciates well-thought-out anime, exploring national parks, and a good emo rock playlist.

Fun fact about me: I watched over 700 animes. I have also neutered 15 cats in the past year. You should also know I have one stomach for food and another, even bigger stomach for sweets.

  • Nancy Thai

    BRIDESMAID

    __________________________

Nancy (aka Momma Thai) and I go way back to childhood. I would always walk the hills to just hang out at her house and talk on the phone for hours. I’m pretty sure we were averaging 2000 minutes every month (oopsies!). We would always be up to trouble and a good laugh together. She and I always bonded over our shared life experiences, love for delicious food, and passion for creating meaningful memories for our friends and family.

I can always count on her for tough love, although sometimes hard to hear, is always very needed. It has made me a more resilient person. There have been many times when I thought so low of myself, that she would never accept that, instead empowering me to see the good and value I bring. She understands me on a deep level. I know I can always count on her in my times of need. I'm beyond excited to have her celebrate with me on my special day!

Nancy is the best cook in town. No competition. She learned how to cook pho at 8 years old (no cap) so you know she is THE REAL DEAL. She enjoys a good ol’ self care massage and spa treatment, any and all doggos in plain sight, tending to her herb garden, and helping kiddos in the hospital.

Fun fact about me: I’ve been Yelp Elite for 8 years.

Meet the Kitties

  • Gigi

    FLOWER KITTY

    ______________________________

Gigi (aka Jijjers, Jujubee) was only supposed to be a foster kitty but ended finding her forever home with Kim and Diana. It all started with just cat sitting two cats then immediately wanting to foster a cat to fill the void of Thor and Loki.

Gigi was sadly moved from home to home and developed major anxiety from the instability. She would hide in the back of our drawers. It took a lot of time and patience to build her confidence, but now she knows she runs the house. It’s Gigi’s Palace and we’re just living in it.

Although she is shy in the initial stages of getting to know someone, she is warm and affectionate once she knows you. She is also very sweet and enjoys cuddling on her terms. Her favorite time of day is when it’s family time. She loves when everyone is home together. She enjoys naps in the sun and nature watching on the window sill. Currently, she is learning how to be a big older sister. It’s been an adjustment, but she’s learning to lean on her little bro.

Fun Fact about me: I was named after Jiji from Kiki’s Delivery Service.

  • Aemond

    RING KITTY

    ________________________

Aemond (aka Daffy, Crispy) was born in the streets of Garden Grove, right in his godparents’ (Auntie Karen and Uncle John’s) yard. He was welcomed into the world just as they moved into the neighborhood. Even as a kitten, he was friendly and curious from the first meet. He would gravitate towards Kevin with every visit. The cat distribution system was well underway.

He is always patient when he is around other kitties, especially his older sister. Meal time is his favorite time just like his dad. Lowkey has a foot fetish…Sometimes he does not like to be held but once you hold him, he’ll start purring like a little bird. Thank you Auntie & Uncle for taking care of me and getting me ready for my forever home. Welcome to the family!

Fun Fact about me: I was almost named Almond oops
